How you can manage and deliver a change program in an organization. The basic terms, elements and contexts. Tools to handle the challenges that may arise when implementing a change program. A framework that you can use to manage and control all aspects of program management.

The MSP Foundation (Managing Successful Programs) is an international framework for managing and leading complex change initiatives. The key to delivering successful programs on time and on budget is solid and good management – MSP® is one of the world’s most widely used and recognized methods for doing just that. Based on best practice experience, the MSP Foundation is designed to be easily adaptable to different needs and circumstances. The MSP® Foundation videos are in Danish and the materials and exams are in English. Managing Successful Programmes is a certification as a program manager. Most people who take an MSP Foundation certification are already project managers. Where a project is about delivering a product or service. The goal of a program is to deliver against an approved strategy set out by senior management. The MSP Foundation certification elevates you to the strategic layer of the business. Your knowledge of how to run programs in a structured way will be a great asset to any company.

MSP has just been released in a 5 version. The manual is of very high quality with many beautiful illustrations. MSP is related to PRINCE2, MoP and P3O, among others.

The purpose of the course

By attending the MSP Foundation you will gain an understanding of how to manage and deliver a change program in an organization Programs that are characterized by high complexity, many dependencies, many risks and conflicting priorities. You will get tools to deal with the challenges that arise when implementing a change program and a framework that you can use to manage and control all aspects of program management.

Who is this course for?

The MSP® Foundation course will be relevant for people involved in leading, managing, supporting and delivering programs. These may include, for example, program managers, program owners, change managers, as well as staff in program and portfolio offices. Anyone working in business strategy is also a candidate for this course.

Prerequisites

You do not need to have taken any other courses to start the MSP® Foundation.

Managing Successful Programs (MSP)® is a best practice delivery framework that provides a guiding set of principles and processes to use when managing a program.
The MSP®Foundation certification does not expire.
The MSP® course is open to everyone and there are no prerequisites.
Yes! It is 100% the same certification. Mentorix is “Accredited TrainingOrganizations” (ATO) from Axelos, APM Group and Scrum Study (VM Edu). This means that you can trust that your certificate is valid and that the teaching and our teachers fully meet the requirements to be accredited. Only a small handful of course providers in Denmark are actually accredited.

About the trainer

Antony della Porta
Antony della Porta, MBA, GPM-m and a Fellow of the Institute of Consulting, has over 30 years’ experience of working in project rescue and consultancy roles in major verticals such as Finance, Travel, Media and Pharmaceuticals. He is also an established consultant and instructor in delivering courses in Project Management methodologies, (PRiSM™, PRINCE2®, AgilePM®, SP2 and SAPM) and general Project Management and courses relevant to the delivery and realization of business strategy.

  • 60 minutes
  • You must answer 35 questions correctly to pass the exam. (50%)
  • one correct answer to each question
  • Upon passing the exam, you obtain the official MSP® foundation certification.
