ITIL Foundation – 4th edition is the world’s most widely used methodology for IT Service Management. ITIL is an acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library and framework that can be used to lead and manage IT department deliverables. The ITIL 4 e-learning course is part of the AXELOS “Best Practice“family. This means that the methodology is based on the analyses of the experiences of thousands of public and private organisations over the years. ITIL Foundation provides the theoretical foundation for the entire ITIL framework. The framework consists of a total of 10 certifications divided into 4 levels – from foundation to master.

Official exam

The ITIL® 4 Foundation exam format:

  • Type of questions: Multiple Choice.
  • Duration: 60 Minutes.
  • Material Allowed: None, this is a ‘closed book’ exam.
  • Number of marks: 40 marks, there are 40 questions each worth 1 mark.
  • Pass Mark: 26 marks, you will need to get 26 questions correct (65%) to pass the exam.
