PRINCE2® Foundation certification requirements
The PRINCE2Foundation certification aims to test knowledge and skills in the PRINCE2 project management methodology and the entire syllabus can be questioned. All topics are equally important, with an equal chance to be included in the certification. The candidate is expected to be able to meet the requirements for all topics in the syllabus, although each exam will not necessarily test all topics in the syllabus.
The questions are listed in a random order on the exam paper, they are not grouped by curriculum area.
The requirements for your preparation
You cannot expect to pass the exam if you have not read the entire PRINCE2 manual. Conversely, if you have a very high probability of passing, you can expect to pass:
- Participated in our accredited PRINCE2 online course.
- Read the full PRINCE2 manual
- Take test exams on an online course
Our online course includes test exams so that you can familiarize yourself with the exam format before taking the exam.
After the prince2 exam: As the exam is online, you will get your answer immediately. It will then take two working days to receive your certificate (which can be downloaded via the PeopleCerts website)
Please note that it is necessary to renew this certification every three years.
– If you have taken your PRINCE2 certification before June 30, 2020, the certification will expire on June 30, 2023.
– If you have taken your PRINCE2 certification after June 30, 2020, the certification will expire three years after the date on your certificate.
This means that in future you will need to renew your certification every three years if you wish to extend the validity of your PRINCE2 certificate.
