PRINCE2 Agile Foundation is a course that combines standard PRINCE2® with the agile way in which to work. The two different mindsets give some challenges in terms of roles, responsibilities, planning, etc. The course gives a lot of answers to how you can combine the methods in practice. It turns out that there is nothing wrong with running standard PRINCE2® while using agile working methods.
Why not use Scrum or AgilePM? You can do that, but if you are familiar with PRINCE2®, Mentorix recommends that you use this course instead. The problem is often that in organisations where PRINCE2 is widely used, the shift to a purely agile framework can require a major transition. But PRINCE2 Agile is less of a shift, as it is a combination method – the best of both worlds.
PRINCE2 Agile® is a relatively new certification, which has allowed us to take the best of the agile world and incorporate it into this course. In particular, the areas of organisation and planning are somewhat more detailed in this certification than in any other agile framework.
PRINCE2 Agile Foundation can also be taken as a stand-alone course. It is not a prerequisite that you know the standard PRINCE2® beforehand. A certification will also increase the possibility to pass a regular PRINCE2® certification.
The aim of the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation course
When you have completed your PRINCE2 Agile Foundation e-learning course, you will have gained a basic knowledge of combining PRINCE2 with agile methods. You will learn to reduce the risk of poor quality and strengthen the iterative deliveries of “products” and through disciplined flexibility.
