PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner is a course where you combine standard PRINCE2® with the agile way of working (Scrum or AgilePM for example). PRINCE2 Agile is basically about managing project sub-deliverables in an agile (iterative) way, while the main delivery is managed according to a classical model (progressive). The two different mindsets give some challenges in terms of roles, responsibilities, planning, etc. The course gives a lot of answers on how to combine and integrate the methods in practice. It turns out that there is nothing wrong with running standard PRINCE2® while using agile working methods. In fact, in many cases it can be an advantage. PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner brings an agile dimension to the world’s most widely used project management methodology, combining the best of both worlds.
Make the transition from PRINCE2 to Agile easier
Frameworks such as Scrum or AgilePM are so-called agile methodologies, and are already used today in most large organisations. However, many organisations are already well versed in the PRINCE2® methodology. Under such conditions, Mentorix recommends using PRINCE2 Agile instead of switching to pure Scrum or AgilePM methodologies. The clean shift from PRINCE2 to agile methods requires a major transformation organizationally as well as mentally. Contact us at Mentorix if you have any doubts or more about how this switch is difficult.
This is a relatively new certification. As much experience has already been gained with agile methods. This is incorporated into this course. In particular, the areas of organization and planning are somewhat more detailed in this certification than in any other agile framework.
The purpose of the course
Once you have passed your PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner e-learning course, you will be able to use the methodology in an agile project in your company. You will learn about the most commonly used agile principles, methods and tools. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of how PRINCE2 can best be adapted to agile development methods. Your ability to work professionally with PRINCE2 Agile depends of course on your own expertise with project management, the complexity of the project. When you have a certification in PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner, you will be better able to engage in discussions and deliberations about how the company’s projects should be managed and led.
Who is this course for?
The PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner course is for anyone delivering, managing or working with agile projects and project teams who do not have previous experience with the PRINCE2® methodology.
