Learn how to put projects into practice using the PRINCE2® methodology. The theory behind the PRINCE2® methodology is based on thousands of projects where project managers and others working in project management have contributed their experiences. Organisations using the method ensure that all project participants speak the same language, understand each other’s roles and responsibilities, and use the same model to get the project completed in the most optimal way. With PRINCE2 Practitioner you will learn even more about practice and real project management. The teaching is based on cases. During the course, you will go through cases that correspond to the exam and you will also have the opportunity to practice on a number of cases. The PRINCE2 practitioner certification is about being able to demonstrate a sufficient overview of PRINCE2 to be able to translate theory into action – knowledge of what it takes to act according to PRINCE2.
The purpose of the course
During this course, you will learn about the tools needed to get your project done. It doesn’t matter what type of project you’re responsible for or how big it is. You will learn to understand the principles and processes behind good project management and the themes that arise throughout the life of a project. You will learn how to manage a project using the PRINCE2 methodology, which helps to ensure transparency about who does what in the project work and that everyone uses the same model throughout.
Who is this course for?
The PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is aimed at project managers of all experience levels and anyone who manages projects. It is also relevant for other key employees who are involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including: steering group members (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners), team leaders (e.g. Product Delivery Managers), people responsible for quality assurance of projects (e.g. Business Change Analysts), project support (e.g. PMO employees) and operational managers (e.g. line managers or HR managers).
Prerequisites
To attend our PRINCE2 Practitioner course, you must have a PRINCE2® Foundation certification. However, you can register for the course before you have passed your PRINCE2® Foundation exam. Read more about formal prerequisites at AXELOS.
